There’s something timeless about a Colorado wedding — the mountains, the crisp air, the way sunlight filters through the pines after a morning rain. Taylor and Thomas’s day at the Beaver Creek Chapel was one of those unforgettable celebrations that seemed to capture everything we love about weddings in the Rockies: warmth, laughter, natural beauty, and love that glows brighter than the mountain sun.

He’s a professional golfer with a heart as steady as his swing, and she’s an elementary school teacher whose kindness could light up any room. Together, Taylor and Thomas are the perfect Colorado love story — outdoorsy, joyful, and deeply connected to family and nature. Their wedding day began with rain, but just when it mattered most, the sun broke through — a perfect reflection of their story.
Morning Showers and Mountain Calm
The morning of the wedding began quietly. Rain clouds hovered over Beaver Creek, wrapping the mountains in a dreamy mist. Inside the lodge, Taylor and her bridesmaids gathered in soft robes, surrounded by laughter and the familiar hum of wedding morning excitement.

Her hair and makeup team worked by the window as gentle rain tapped the glass. There was something serene about it — as if nature itself was whispering blessings over the day.
When Taylor stepped into her wedding gown, the energy in the room shifted. Her bridesmaids gasped, and for a moment, everything felt beautifully still. She looked radiant — the kind of bride whose joy simply fills every corner of the room.

And then, as if written into their story, the rain began to fade. Clouds parted, the mountains shimmered, and golden sunlight poured through just as they were ready to head to the chapel.
A Colorado Wedding Chapel Full of History and Heart
The Beaver Creek Chapel, nestled in the heart of the Rockies, is one of Colorado’s most charming wedding venues. Surrounded by tall evergreens and soft light, it feels like a sacred pocket of peace.
Inside, guests gathered quietly, the sound of soft music and rustling programs filling the space. Then the doors opened, and Taylor appeared — glowing in the newly found sunshine.

Thomas’s reaction said it all. His eyes filled with emotion as she walked down the aisle, each step echoing the love they’ve built together. Pastor Scott from Beaver Creek Chapel led a heartfelt, faith-filled ceremony, filled with laughter, tears, and quiet reverence.
One of the most charming details of this venue? A rustic beam on the chapel stairs that still carries claw marks from when a curious bear once tried to attend a Sunday service! Naturally, we had to capture a photo of the couple beside it — a playful nod to Colorado’s wild heart and one of the most talked-about moments of the day.

When they exchanged vows and said “I do,” the sunlight streamed through the chapel’s tall windows — as if nature itself was celebrating with them.
Joy, Family, and Post-Ceremony Portraits
After the ceremony, the newlyweds stepped outside into the warm, golden afternoon light. Family and friends gathered around with hugs, laughter, and congratulations that filled the air.

We took portraits on the chapel steps, capturing candid moments of pure joy — parents wiping away tears, siblings laughing, friends raising toasts. The scenery was breathtaking, with the mountains behind them still glistening from the morning rain.

Every frame felt alive with emotion. These are the kinds of photographs that don’t just show what a wedding looked like — they show what it felt like.
An Intimate Brunch-Style Celebration
Instead of a grand ballroom dinner, Taylor and Thomas chose a brunch-style reception, which fit them perfectly — relaxed, joyful, and filled with sunshine. Guests gathered around beautifully set tables, enjoying fresh pastries, seasonal fruit, and laughter that carried through the air.

The florals by Fancy Pansy were stunning — a cheerful blend of color and texture that echoed the couple’s natural and elegant style. Everything felt warm and inviting, with soft mountain light filling the room.
One of my favorite personal touches? The bride’s sister created custom coloring pages for the children, using artwork from Taylor and Thomas’s engagement photos. It was thoughtful, creative, and made the little guests feel part of the day in such a special way.

As coffee cups were refilled and mimosas poured, friends and family gave heartfelt toasts — stories that had everyone laughing one moment and tearing up the next. The newlyweds cut their cake surrounded by cheers, sealing their celebration with sweetness and smiles.
Golden Hour Portraits & Unforgettable Moments
Before heading to their after-party, we took Taylor and Thomas outside once more for sunset portraits. The light was soft and golden, wrapping the mountains — and them — in warmth.

They walked hand-in-hand through the quiet paths near the chapel, sharing laughs, sneaking kisses, and soaking in their first moments as husband and wife. Those portraits — set against Colorado’s glowing horizon — are some of my absolute favorites. There’s a magic in those frames that words can barely capture.
