Ashley & Nick’s Winter Wonderland Wedding at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa
Ashley and Nick’s wedding at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Avon, Colorado was a dream winter wedding that we won’t forget anytime soon. They are both from the midwest with some of their family coming from Chicago and others coming from St. Louis. Talk about the ultimate sports rivalry where Sunday football is probably an entertaining affair. Ashley and Nick decided to get married in the Beaver Creek area because of their fond memories from their family ski trips to the area.
The day started out with the ladies getting ready in their hotel room. Ashley had cute, comfy pajamas, custom made for all of her bridesmaids that they got to lounge around in while getting their hair and make up done. They even braved the cold for a few quick photos on the balcony where you can see the amazing view of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in the background. On the other side of the hotel, Nick was getting ready with his groomsmen in their hotel room. Not one to leave the guys out, they also got some awesome custom Yeti beer koozies.
After both were done getting ready, they decided to do a “First Look” and see each other before the wedding. We set Nick up outside along the river while Ashley walked up behind him. Ashley was gracious enough to brave the cold as she walked outside without a coat. Luckily she had really cute white snow boots to wear under her dress. After spending a few minutes for the first look, we went ahead and got some Romantics (couple’s portraits) along with bridal party photos. All of the bridesmaid’s had some amazing fur wraps to help them keep warm while taking photos.
Before the ceremony started, Ashley also decided to do a first look with her father. Again, we positioned her dad with his back turned and Ashley came up behind him to surprise him. You could tell by the look on his face how happy he was for his daughter and how much love they had for each other. Despite the cold, the weather was perfect for their Beaver Creek winter wedding. They exchanged their own vows while their friends and family lovingly looked on to witness.
After the ceremony, we took family photos and got ready for the real party to start. Everybody enjoyed an amazing dinner catered by the resort and then watched as Ashley and Nick danced together for the first time as husband and wife. Ashley and her father even enjoyed a special father daughter dance by donning some wigs and blow-up instruments to entertain the crowd.
All in all, it was a truly perfect day for Ashley and Nick. Together, they completely compliment each other and you can tell that they are a couple who loves to have fun together. Cheers to many years of love and happiness!
